What is TSA?
TSA, the Technology Student Association is a nation-wide student organization dedicated to the promotion of technological literacy and the integration of technology into various academic curricula. TSA’s membership includes over 200,000 middle and high school students in 2,500 schools, spanning over 47 states.
What kinds of activities can we get involved in with TSA? And how do we implement them?
There are over 20 competitive events that students in our school can be involved in. These events are listed on this website.
When do these competitive events occur?
TSA’s state competition, held at The College of New Jersey, will take place in springtime of this school year. The TENTATIVE competition date has been set for March 17th. This means that all projects should be completed by the beginning of March, as some projects need to be sent away to the competition a week or two in advance.
How can I find out more information on these competitions?
Please feel free to contact Mrs. Fallon at anytime, or drop a note in Mrs. Fallon's mailbox indicating which competitive event(s) you might be interested in. Feel free to email the address below if you are interested in doing an available competition. You can also find information at www.tcnj.edu/~tsa or at http://www.tsaweb.org
When do I need to respond by?
You will need to notify Mrs. Fallon ASAP so that you can get your full competitive event rules. The sooner you secure your competitive event, the sooner you can start!
How do I become a TSA officer?
Lake Riviera Middle School TSA will be needing dedicated, responsible students to take on the roles of TSA president, vice president, treasurer, secretary and reporter. If you feel that you are qualified for any of these positions, please come to the first general interest meeting to find out more information on how you can apply.
