Congratulations to Ms. Barbara Stansbury, who has gone from Brick Memorial’s Teacher of the Year to Brick Township Public School’s District Teacher of the Year!\u00a0 All of the district teachers of the year will be honored at the May 11th Board of Education\u00a0meeting which\u00a0will be held right here at BMHS.\u00a0 As the District Teacher of the Year, Ms. Stansbury will also be giving a speech that night.<\/p>\n
This is Barbara Stansbury’s 19th year teaching for the Brick District.\u00a0 This is also her second time receiving the honor of Teacher of the Year at Brick Memorial High School, as she was awarded the honor six years ago in 2016.<\/p>\n
During most of her tenure here, she has served as the advisor of the Student Government Association.\u00a0 She has taught all levels of classes for the English Department, most notably the freshmen, and will be teaching a new course called Sports and Literature next semester for juniors and seniors.\u00a0 To say that Ms. Stansbury is a popular teacher is an understatement.\u00a0 Not an event occurs without Ms. Stansbury’s attendance, for she strives to make sure that her students know that they are her lifeblood.<\/p>\n
