{"id":2419,"date":"2024-10-31T10:16:43","date_gmt":"2024-10-31T10:16:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.brickschools.org\/bmhs\/?p=2419"},"modified":"2024-10-31T11:36:00","modified_gmt":"2024-10-31T11:36:00","slug":"bmhs-celebrates-new-inductees-into-language-honor-societies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.brickschools.org\/bmhs\/bmhs-celebrates-new-inductees-into-language-honor-societies\/","title":{"rendered":"BMHS Celebrates New Inductees into Language Honor Societies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Brick Memorial High School Celebrates New Inductees into Language Honor Societies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Brick Memorial High School proudly hosted an Induction Ceremony for its esteemed language honor societies: the Societ\u00e0 Onoraria Italica, Sociedad Honoraria Hisp\u00e1nica, and La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Honoraire de Fran\u00e7ais, recognizing the academic excellence and dedication of its students in World Languages.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony, held on October 30, 2024, began with an inspiring address from Principal Ed Sarluca, who emphasized the importance of language learning in fostering cultural understanding and global citizenship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inductees<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Societ\u00e0 Onoraria Italica<\/strong><br \/>\nAdvisor: Angela Giovannini<br \/>\nThe following students were inducted into the Italian Honor Society:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Isabella McKelvey<\/li>\n<li>Jonmichael Moon<\/li>\n<li>Justin Pfeiffer<\/li>\n<li>Christiana Porciello<\/li>\n<li>Morgan Satter<\/li>\n<li>Anthony Vida<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Italian Honor Society ceremony featured an explanation and oath led by Madelyn Brown, Class of 2025, followed by a heartfelt speech from Christiana Porciello.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sociedad Honoraria Hisp\u00e1nica<\/strong><br \/>\nAdvisor: Danielle Mora<br \/>\nThe Spanish Honor Society welcomed the following new members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Megan Albanowicz<\/li>\n<li>Rebecca Aumack<\/li>\n<li>Susan Berrezueta-Grijalva<\/li>\n<li>Tessa Contardi<\/li>\n<li>Delaney Cromen<\/li>\n<li>Marilyn Espinosa-Flores<\/li>\n<li>Valerie Gargallo-Hernandez<\/li>\n<li>Gabriella Goodman<\/li>\n<li>Dayna McManus<\/li>\n<li>Thea Pacciano-Langworthy<\/li>\n<li>Brianna Werner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Madelyn Barrera, Class of 2025, provided an overview of the society, followed by an oath administered by Ariana Lajara, Class of 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Honoraire de Fran\u00e7ais<\/strong><br \/>\nAdvisor: Jennifer Schwester<br \/>\nInductees into the French Honor Society included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Christian Cesar<\/li>\n<li>Cole Dawson<\/li>\n<li>Kayla Elmer<\/li>\n<li>Emily Farrell<\/li>\n<li>Kelly Fitzgerald<\/li>\n<li>Alicia Frederick<\/li>\n<li>Leyna Gilinsky<\/li>\n<li>Stephanie Trujillano<\/li>\n<li>Katelyn Williams<\/li>\n<li>Onatah Williams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Katelyn Williams, Class of 2025, explained the significance of the ceremony and led the members in their oath.<\/p>\n<p>The Induction Ceremony celebrated the dedication and achievements of these students in their respective languages, highlighting their commitment to academic excellence and cultural appreciation. All of the groups are thrilled to share cultural activities with the BMHS and Brick communities and continue to grow in their language use and cultural appreciation.<\/p>\n<p>Brick Memorial High
