During the opening days, staff and administrators had the opportunity to meet with every student, helping to set a positive and unified tone for the months ahead. From the first bell, the building buzzed with bold Mustang spirit, especially as we proudly welcomed the Class of 2029 to the Mustang family.

As Principal Edward Sarluca shared with families, Brick Memorial continues to emphasize the importance of being Respectful, Responsible, and people of Integrity. By living these values each day, our students help create a supportive school community where good things happen for everyone.

To begin the year, students celebrated together at our school wide Pep Rally on September 5. Hosted by Mr. Bloom and run by Ms. Stansbury and the Student Government Association, the event built Mustang pride and showcased the excitement of the new school year. Families also connected with staff during Back to School Night on September 11, a valuable evening to strengthen the partnership between home and school.

On September 12, students participated in our annual Activity Expo, where they explored the wide range of extracurricular opportunities offered at BMHS. From clubs and academic groups to performance ensembles and service organizations, the Expo encouraged every Mustang to get involved and find their place within the community. Many extracurriculars have already started holding meetings, including our Key Club, which drew strong student interest at its kickoff gathering.

Academically, our Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment students have already begun meeting with staff to discuss their academic pathways and future goals. These conversations ensure that BMHS students are prepared for success in college and career.

Meanwhile, our fall sports teams are off to a strong start, proudly representing BMHS both on and off the field. From the soccer fields to the volleyball courts, to the gridiron under the Friday night lights, our student athletes are demonstrating Mustang determination, teamwork, and integrity.

As the year continues, Brick Memorial High School remains committed to working together with families, staff, and students to make this truly a great year to be a Mustang.

Brick Memorial High School Kicks Off 2025–2026 School Year with Mustang Pride Brick Memorial High School is off to a strong and successful start to the 2025–2026 school year.
