** Athletic Events that took place between 11\/8 & 11\/29 **<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The <\/span>Brick Township Boys and Girls Swim team<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>The Brick Dragons Swim Team started practice on November 8th and are training strong for our opening Swim Meets against Toms River East on 12\/7 followed by Toms River South on 12\/9!\u00a0 We have a competitive senior class as well as new freshmen who will add to the excitement of our season.\u00a0 Girls Team Captains:\u00a0 Kaitlyn Goldsmith, Courtney Keizer and Amanda Mology\u00a0 Boys Team Captains: Brendan Kalp and John Gardner. We are very excited for this upcoming season as our student athletes cannot wait to compete in high school athletics. The <\/span>Brick Township Ice Hockey team <\/b>has began its season with new excitement merging with Brick Memorial.\u00a0 Head Coach James Murphy and his staff are putting together a new movement of \u201cBrick vs. Everybody\u201d.\u00a0 It\u2019s creating an atmosphere of \u201cUs vs.World\u201d, bringing both sides of town together with one goal in mind, and that is championship caliber ice hockey back to Brick Township.\u00a0 Brick tied their first game 2-2 being down 2-0 against a very good Class A-North Division Marlboro team.\u00a0 It was Jake Toye\u2019s first goal that ignited The Ocean Ice Palace, and Thomas Johnston\u2019s second goal tying up the game. We believe that this is going to be a very exciting year as both students from Brick Memorial and Brick Township will create a bond that will exemplify ONE TEAM, ONE TOWN. Next game is Friday, December 3rd, 5:45pm at the Ocean Ice Palace vs. Freehold Township. Hope to see everyone there! The <\/span>Brick Girls Bowling<\/b> is starting our season off this week with a match against Toms River South on Wednesday 11\/24.\u00a0 We are confident that this will be the start of a successful season in the Shore Conference South A Division.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Student Government Association (SGA)<\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Student Government Association is one of many clubs that we offer here at BTHS. The purpose of this club is to improve school spirit and culture; serve the needs of the student body; coordinate school-wide events and activities with the class board\/officers. SGA neets on alternate Wednesdays, one meeting is for the Executive Board and the other Wednesday meeting is for the General Membership. Some of the activities that the SGA runs are: elections\u00a0 for class officers and homecoming nominees\/winners, spirit weeks, school-wide dances, Alumni Networking Day, Halloween Costume Contest, Battle of the Classes and many more! SGA is made up of an Advisor (Mrs. Gough-Robinson) an executive board (5 students), class officers (16 students), and General Membership (any current student at BTHS). The Executive Board members are: President: Skylar Piscope, Vice President: Andrew Cali, Secretary: Brianna Harvey, Public Relations: Kayla Judson. A current Fundraiser for the club is a Holiday Door Decorating and Holiday Card Contest.
