We are lucky to have a lot of strip malls in our town so our students are bringing a lot of prior knowledge to this theme! Inside our classrooms, you will find hair and nail salons, hardware stores, book stores, art studios, fitness centers, and small restaurants to grab a bite to eat! Our students are master prop makers and are able to fill these shops with all of the necessary tools to engage in meaningful make believe play! We are still using some roles and actions that we have used all year and incorporating new ones that are specific to some of our shops!
