Every month, the VMMS staff is able to nominate staff and students from VMMS who exemplify the true character of a Mustang. Below are the individuals who have been chosen and what others have written about them. APRIL MUSTANGS OF THE MONTH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\n<p><strong>Grade 6: Emma Gallus\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><strong><span style=\"color: #274e13\">Emma is a conscientious and hard-working student. She comes to school every day with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. She actively participates in classroom discussions and takes part in school sponsored events\/activities. Emma was on the field hockey team this year, and tried out for basketball. Emma has made a successful transition to middle school, and serves as an exemplary role model for her peers.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\n<p><strong>Grade 7: Nadia Hopkins<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Nadia is known for her friendly demeanor, strong academic performance, and respectful behavior. She listens carefully, participates with purpose, and consistently puts forth her best effort. Her teachers describe her as a joy to have in class and appreciate her quiet leadership. Keep up the great work, Nadia!<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Grade 8: Landon Fletcher\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Landon&#8217;s maturity and responsible behavior displayed during this past marking period was truly commendable. In a very large group he never faltered from doing what was right and following classroom rules and procedures. He met and exceeded expectations and was truly a role model for the class. I truly appreciated his diligent work ethic and respectful behavior. When messes were made, Landon would go out of his way to ensure the room was cleaned.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\n<p><strong>Support Staff: Emma Watkins\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><strong><span style=\"color: #274e13\">Ms. Watkins has gone above and beyond her job as a paraprofessional to help Mrs. Fisher and I prepare each Mustang Expresso. She has helped make sure all the orders are ready to be filled. She helps keep track of all the punch cards. Ms. Watkins also is dedicated to helping the students in the autism program become more independent throughout their school day. Ms. Watkins is always willing to help the students and her coworkers.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><strong><span style=\"color: #274e13\">Over the course of this year, Emma has consistently demonstrated outstanding dedication, skill, and compassion.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #274e13\">From day one, Emma has gone above and beyond to support both students and educators. She brings a positive attitude and an unwavering commitment to providing the best possible learning environment for all students, regardless of their challenges. She has the great ability to adapt to each child\u2019s unique needs and has been instrumental in helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What truly sets Emma apart is her exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships with students. She creates a safe and welcoming space where students feel valued and supported. This has not only contributed to the students&#8217; academic success but has also played a key role in boosting their confidence and self-esteem. Emma consistently provides encouragement and guidance that helps students believe in their abilities and reach their full potential.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her work with students, Emma is an invaluable support to teachers and staff. She has proven to be an excellent team player, always ready to assist in lesson planning, classroom management, and offering thoughtful insights on how to better meet the needs of students. Her flexibility and willingness to take on various tasks have made her an indispensable part of our team.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Teacher: Rene Paturzo<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Congratulations to Rene Paturzo, our Mustang of the Month!\u00a0Rene is deeply committed to her students&#8217; academic and personal growth, consistently taking the time to ensure they are progressing appropriately. Her nurturing demeanor creates a positive and welcoming classroom environment that students are eager to return to.
