For one, I don’t think he’s ever won Mustang of the Month in his career! I’m not exactly sure how long we’ve been doing Mustang of the Month, but I honestly think even if we were doing it for the first time this year his name should be considered. He coaches two sports every year, and he’s done this pretty much by himself until recently. For people who don’t coach, I’m not sure they realize how much of a time commitment it is. He has to be the first one there and last one to leave, oftentimes having to wait for parents to arrive to pick up their kids. He does this all year long and I’ve never heard him complain about it. On top of all of this, he’s a Brick native. In my opinion (I’m not from Brick), the community is very lucky to have one of their own student athletes give back in so many ways. I’ve had the pleasure of working with him one year as his ICR teacher and it was great. He gets along with his colleagues every year and he does a great job in the classroom. If you’ve ever asked Dan for a favor, he always follows through or tries to help. I legit can’t believe he’s never got this award.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
VMMS was proud to honor our January Mustangs of the month.
