{"id":952,"date":"2022-05-18T13:32:04","date_gmt":"2022-05-18T13:32:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.brickschools.org\/vmms\/?p=952"},"modified":"2022-05-18T13:32:04","modified_gmt":"2022-05-18T13:32:04","slug":"excel-students-shine-in-2022-law-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.brickschools.org\/vmms\/excel-students-shine-in-2022-law-fair\/","title":{"rendered":"Excel Students SHINE in 2022 Law Fair!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sixth grade EXCEL students at VMMS entered the annual New Jersey State Bar Foundation\u2019s Law Fair contest.\u00a0 Students were tasked with creating an original mock trial case.\u00a0 One group created a criminal case for entry in the contest.\u00a0 Their contest entry was selected as the second place winner in New Jersey for the sixth grade division.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Students who were recognized included: Trey Cowie, Kendal Fredricksen, Mia Fitzgerald, Laina Roselle, Liliana Ingenito, Vishva Patel<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On Monday, May 16th, they were able to act out their winning case via Zoom with a real judge presiding (Honorable Francine Axelrad) and students from another school serving as their jury.\u00a0 Congratulations to the students and to Mrs. Reilly on another great achievement.
