FEBRUARY STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

VMMS was proud to honor our February Mustangs of the month. Every month, the VMMS staff is able to nominate staff and students from VMMS who exemplify the true character of a Mustang. Below are the individuals who have been chosen and what others have written about them. FEBRUARY MUSTANGS OF THE MONTH:

Grade 6: Karen Girgis

Karen is a great example of what it means to be a Mustang. She’s earned straight A’s all year and is always doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. She’s also incredibly kind and sometimes stays after school to help Mrs. T and Cathy. Karen is a true role model for her classmates!
Grade 7: Chris Shipley
Chris is doing amazing in 7th grade!  He completes all of his work. Chris and his peers get along so well!!! He has a funny sense of humor and makes us laugh!! Go Chris!!!
Grade 8: Sofiia Khrapko
Sofiia is a quiet, but such a great girl. Always does what she is supposed to and works really hard to keep up her grades. She was new to VMMS this year and only moved to the country about a year ago. She is really working hard to do well.

Support Staff: Jen Pederson

Jen Pederson is our Support Staff of the month and we couldn’t be more thankful for her! She keeps up with a very busy nurse’s office, and somehow always stays calm and caring. No matter what comes through her door, she handles it with patience and a smile. We’re so lucky to have her taking care of our Mustangs!
Teacher: Kathy Miller
Kathy consistently brings energy, and creativity to her classroom. She engages with her students and they really enjoy her Science class, where the students get to do interesting experiments. Her kindness, patience, and dedication brings success to her students.

Kathy is a team player all the way. Not only is she great with her students, she is willing to share her knowledge and resources with others. The students love her science class and enjoy the various activities she encompasses within the school year. She has been extremely helpful to others with the science curriculum.
