Brick Memorial High School Junior Dalara Jablonsky Receives Prestigious Leadership Award and Academic Honor
Brick Memorial High School is proud to announce that one of its juniors, Dalara Jablonsky, a leading youth voice for mental wellness and student engagement, has been recognized with two significant honors: the Anthony V. Pierro Recognition of Student Excellence Award and a highly competitive academic and leadership designation associated with Nobel Laureate Dr. Mario Capecchi.
Jablonsky, Co-Chair and soon-to-be Chair of the NJ4S COMPASS Youth Sub-Committee, was selected for the Anthony V. Pierro Award by the Ocean County DART Coalition. The award highlights exceptional youth leadership, profound community engagement, and demonstrable positive impact—qualities Dalara Jablonsky has tirelessly embodied through her advocacy work.
“Our Youth Subcommittee Co-Chair, Dalara Jablonsky, has been selected as the recipient of the Anthony V. Pierro Recognition of Student Excellence Award through the Ocean County DART Coalition. This award recognizes exceptional youth leadership, community engagement, and positive impact—and Dalara embodies all of these qualities and more,” stated a representative from COMPASS.
Since starting with the COMPASS program in June 2023, Jablonsky has become the main youth advocate speaker for the organization, a role driven by her strong personal commitment to mental health awareness. Her advocacy stems from firsthand experience, inspiring her mission to create positive change within the community.

She has been instrumental in the preparation and development of the NJ4S COMPASS program, influencing decisions on student recruitment, community projects, and presentations.

Jablonsky has presented at nearly ten major events, sharing her story and detailing how programs like COMPASS can impact school communities across New Jersey.

Most recently, she was featured in the impactful video, “Mental Health Matters: How NJ4S & COMPASS Are Changing Lives in NJ Schools.”
In addition to her community service award, Jablonsky received an official honor recognizing high academic achievement (GPA) and leadership qualities for students aspiring to pursue a career in medicine. This prestigious designation is affiliated with Nobel Prize winner Dr. Mario Capecchi. The honor includes an invitation to an exclusive three-day conference in Boston, where Dr. Capecchi and other medical experts will speak to educate the student body.
