Brick Memorial High School Students Bring Holiday Hope to Children Worldwide Through Operation Christmas Child

Brick Memorial High School is proud to celebrate the remarkable success of this year’s Operation Christmas Child initiative, made possible through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and led by senior Bobby Condurso, who brought the project to our school community. Thanks to the generosity and teamwork of students, staff, and families, FCA provided 41 children around the world with Christmas gifts this season.

Participants packed shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene essentials. Each box served as far more than a simple present; every gift became a symbol of hope and a powerful reminder to children facing war, poverty, disaster, and disease that they are seen, valued, and remembered. For many recipients, this is the first gift they have ever received.

Samaritan’s Purse distributes these shoeboxes across more than 170 countries and territories, offering joy and comfort to millions of children each year. The impact of Brick Memorial’s contributions reaches far beyond our walls, extending encouragement and kindness across the globe.

FCA advisors Patricia Dalton and Amanda Ingle shared their heartfelt gratitude for the school’s enthusiastic participation and applauded the compassion demonstrated throughout the project. They emphasized the transformative effect each shoebox carries, bringing joy, confidence, and connection to children who need it most.

This year’s effort also gained a special spotlight when Bobby Condurso and Mrs. Ingle were featured on an episode of our school podcast Straight from the Mustang’s Mouth. Listening to the episode will offer a deeper look into the heart behind this project and, we hope, inspire even more people to participate next year. The link to the episode can be found under the story.

Brick Memorial High School applauds Bobby Condurso for his leadership, praises all the students who helped wrap boxes for children around the world, and thanks every Mustang who helped make this initiative a success. It is truly a great day to be a Mustang when our community comes together to make a meaningful difference for others.
