Students arriving to school in the month of December are in for a huge treat!  Outside the main entrance of Brick Memorial High School is a beautiful display of holiday decorations.  Teachers Ann Marie Tarnowski, Jessica Jablonski, Lisette Rivera, Maria Lupo, and Athletic Director Ed Sarluca got together to make sure a joyful display of lights (Green and Gold lights) overwhelms that students, faculty, and staff.

The center of the display, which includes decorations from all holidays in December, is a Holiday Tree, generously donated by Mr. Jonathon Marinari, whose family owns Big Woods Farm and Nursery in New Egypt (in case you are still in need of a tree).

This new tradition started last year in reaction to the Covid epidemic.  This group of gleeful teachers felt that students and staff needed something to put a smile on their faces each day – and they were correct.  Last year’s holiday decorations (put up in 36-degree weather) was lovely!  But THIS year’s (put up in 63-degrees thankfully) has been kicked up a notch!

“And we still have plans for future years,” says Mrs. Rivera!

The Mustang Community is so grateful for a touch of holiday bliss each day!  But the bar has been set!  We can’t wait to see what it will look like for years to come!
