On Tuesday June 8th the fields of VMMS came to life with the 2nd Annual Kick Out Drugs event hosted by our Lead & Seed Club in partnership with the Brick Township Police Department. The event was created to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and as a reminder to engage in anti-drug activities that promote health and wellness. Staff and the Brick Township Police Department teamed up to make 2 adult teams and challenged 2 teams of students. Student teams were composed of representatives from all the school sports teams and clubs. The PTA sponsored a table of refreshments for all those in attendance, and School Based sponsored a t-shirt give away to the first 25 guests. To add to the event, Kona Ice and Wholly Bowls food trucks came and everyone enjoyed items from their delicious menus. After the preliminary first round games, there was a championship game of Staff & Brick PD v Students. An exciting and action packed 5-innings led the Staff & Brick PD to the overall victory and bragging rights! Students took 2nd place, and also prizes home with them as well! The event was a huge success and we are very grateful for all those who supported and helped make it possible.
