A Sea of Pink: Brick Memorial Stands with Mrs. Kate Boeckel

Brick Memorial High School came together today in a heartfelt show of support for Mrs. Kate Boeckel of our College and Career Readiness department, who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. With her trademark optimism and determination, Mrs. Boeckel completed her final day of work before beginning a medical leave and plans to return in January.

To honor her strength and to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness, the faculty and staff surprised Mrs. Boeckel by wearing pink throughout the day. After school, the entire team gathered for a group photo, creating a powerful moment of unity. Surrounded by colleagues, Mrs. Boeckel shared a few encouraging remarks that reflected her hopeful spirit and reminded everyone of the resilience that can carry us through challenging moments.

Brick Memorial High School extends its full support to Mrs. Boeckel and her family during this time. We wish her comfort, strength, and healing, and we eagerly look forward to welcoming her back in January 2026.
