🎭 Mary Poppins Closes Out a Supercalifragilistic Season for the Mustang Players 🎭
The Mustang Players at Brick Memorial High School have wrapped up their spectacular four-performance run of Mary Poppins, delighting packed audiences with Disney magic, heartfelt storytelling, and unforgettable talent. The production, which closed today, marked the final show of the 2024–2025 season—and what a way to go out!
Taking center stage was Amie Hueston as the practically perfect Mary Poppins, whose poise, vocals, and charm captivated audiences from her first entrance. Starring opposite her was Jakub Kriso as the lovable and nimble Bert, whose charisma and dancing lit up the stage. Both performers received standing ovations and left an indelible mark on Mustang theater history.
Equally deserving of applause was the powerful ensemble, whose energy and precision elevated every musical number—from the toe-tapping “Step in Time” to the uplifting tongue-twister “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” Their commitment to character and choreography added heart, humor, and harmony to the entire production.
Behind the scenes, the production was led with vision and care by Ms. Jessica O’Brien, who both directed and choreographed the show. She was assisted by Alyssa Kiselev, with Dr. Mike Fitzgerald once again serving as technical director. Cindy Dwyer brought the musical elements to life as musical director, and Mr. Anthony Greco handled both lighting and costume design, creating the vibrant world of Cherry Tree Lane with skill and flair.
The show was beautifully stage managed by senior Gabby D’Agostino, whose organization and leadership kept each performance running smoothly. A special shout-out goes to senior Rhiannon Harsley, whose stunning set design transported audiences into a whimsical and detailed London setting.
Mary Poppins marks the conclusion of a phenomenal season that also featured It’s a Wonderful Life and Beetlejuice. As the curtain falls on this year’s shows, the anticipation for the 2025–2026 season is already building.
To the entire Mustang Players cast, crew, and creative team, thank you. You reminded us all that “anything can happen if you let it.”
