Buddy Reading Fun! 📚☀️

One of our Large Group Literacy activities is Buddy Reading. During Buddy Reading, students have the opportunity to share a book with a friend, using the pictures to help them tell the story in their own words. This encourages creativity, language development, and a love of books.

To help students remember their roles, they use special mediator cards called “Lips and Ears.” These cards remind them who is the reader and who is the listener. As they take turns, students practice important self-regulation skills—listening carefully to their friend and patiently waiting for their own turn to share.

Buddy Reading is even more special when we can enjoy it outdoors on a warm, sunny day! 🌞 Thank you to Ms. Dana, Ms. Dawn, and our wonderful students for sharing this joyful learning experience together.
