VMMS was proud to honor our April Mustangs of the month. Every month, the VMMS staff is able to nominate staff and students from VMMS who exemplify the true character of a Mustang.
Below are the individuals who have been chosen and what others have written about them.
6th Grade Student Angelyz Gonzalez Mora: Angelyz has improved so much academically and socially this year. She has a great teacher that keeps her on track and she will continue to do well using the tools that have been provided to her.
Angelyz has made significant progress this year and is always willing to help out students and staff. Angelyz is very kind and tries to include everyone so nobody feels left out.
7th Grade Student Alex Conti: Alex found a wallet on the school bus the other day and turned it in without hesitation . He showed great citizenship in turning it in. he is selfless, a hard working Student-athlete who puts others above himself.
8th Grade Student Owen Dune: Owen is a student who truly embraces the growth mindset. He is a National Junior Honor Society member, part of the Lead and Seed program, an 8th grade Student Council homeroom representative and is also a member of the track and cross country teams. He is always available to lend a helping hand and perseveres through challenges. He is so deserving of this award! I am proud of this Mustang!!
VMMS Support Staff Members Jennifer Madere: I do not have all the words to properly illustrate how amazing Jen Madere is. She is new to the building (and to the profession itself), but her skills and dedication are those of a veteran teacher who has been at VMMS forever. Jen is completely dedicated to her student, but always has time for the rest of the students in the rotation. Jen has built lasting relationships with staff and students alike. Working with Jen is a dream; she is reliable, has great ideas, is knowledgeable, agreeable, and so much fun to work with. Jen is the prime example of what Support Staff Member of the Month represents.
VMMS Staff Member Marissa Schall: Marissa has been a dedicated educator in the BD Classroom for 6 years. Her knowledge and skills far surpass to help keep a positive environment….for learning and socialization skills to the students.
🙂 —Such a sweet Teacher, Always in control of her class. Respects each and every one of her students. Always ready to give out praise for even the smallest accomplishments academic and behavior. Her Students just love her.
Marissa is a devoted teacher in her knowledge and compassion to her students ..she is totally on board as to the needs of each student.
