Sixth grade EXCEL students at VMMS entered the annual New Jersey State Bar Foundation’s Law Fair contest. Students were tasked with creating an original mock trial case. One group created a criminal case for entry in the contest. Their contest entry was selected as the second place winner in New Jersey for the sixth grade division.
Students who were recognized included: Trey Cowie, Kendal Fredricksen, Mia Fitzgerald, Laina Roselle, Liliana Ingenito, Vishva Patel
On Monday, May 16th, they were able to act out their winning case via Zoom with a real judge presiding (Honorable Francine Axelrad) and students from another school serving as their jury. Congratulations to the students and to Mrs. Reilly on another great achievement. VMMS is proud of you!
