OCTOBER MUSTANGS OF THE MONTH

VMMS was proud to honor our October Mustangs of the month. Every month, the VMMS staff is able to nominate staff and students from VMMS who exemplify the true character of a Mustang.

Below are the individuals who have been chosen and what others have written about them.

OCTOBER MUSTANGS OF THE MONTH:

Grade 6: Juan Santiago

Juan is such a personable, kind, funny and determined student. He comes to school each and every day willing to put his best foot forward and try his absolute best. He is respectful of his peers and teachers, and is a very well-rounded student being academically, emotionally and socially prepared to take on any tasks thrown his way. Juan has had an excellent transition to VMMS, and is a valuable asset to our school!

Grade 7: Kailyn Gallman

SHe is a leader in the classroom that has a positive outlook on everything! She works hard and encourages EVERYONE around her to do that too.
Always participates and does the right thing.

Grade 8: Luis Hernandez Calo

Luis was a fly under the radar kid last year…he has shown great improvement already this year…working hard to start the year off right with good decisions and keeping up with his work. I expect to see great things from Luis as the year continues!
Support Staff: Christine Dughi
Christine’s positive attitude, energetic demeanor and dedication to her job are unmatched. She handles each and every situation with the utmost professionalism. Always there to assist in any way, Christine is a valued member of our team and VMMS family.

Teacher: Robby Brown

During the recent emergency evacuation we had, Robby was a leader out on the field to ensure the far end of the field was in order. He continued this lead when we moved inside and took charge of the entire seventh grade. He maintained order by playing a riddle game with the kids. Daily, Robby can be seen welcoming the kids into the gym. The students always come back and talk about how it is “fun” to have him as a phys ed teacher because he is fair with them.
