For our next theme, our classes were given the choice of what themes they wanted to create in their rooms. This is the first time we have done this and it is fun to watch everyone transform their space into something different! We have grocery stores, pet vet, and camping depending on which class you visit! Each of these themes allows students to play in roles they have used all year, like Mom, Dad, cashier, customer, doctor, and delivery person. We are at the time in the year where students will travel to other centers and interact with friends outside of their center. For example, in the grocery store, students working at the loading dock may deliver boxes to the florist or bakery department. This traveling adds a layer of self regulation that our students are ready for at this time of the year!
