Lake Riviera Gets a New Leader

Mrs. Brittany Bucco is pleased to serve the Lake Riviera School Community as the new Principal. With over 17 years of experience in education—all served within our district—Mrs. Bucco brings a deep commitment to student achievement and a clear vision for fostering an inclusive and academically rigorous school community.

Mrs. Bucco most recently served as Assistant Principal at Lake Riviera Middle School, where she oversaw key aspects of school operations, supporting a positive school climate and day-to-day logistics. She led several schoolwide initiatives, including the Character Education Team, Data Team, and the Intervention & Referral Services (I&RS) team. She has played a critical role in supporting staff development through instructional coaching and formal evaluation processes, while maintaining a strong focus on teacher empowerment, family engagement, and ensuring every student thrives in a safe and supportive environment.

Previously, Mrs. Bucco served as a Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction for the district. In that capacity, she designed and implemented instructional programs across multiple content areas, managed departmental budgets, and established strategic partnerships to support the academic and social-emotional growth of all learners. Known for her authentic and collaborative leadership style, Mrs. Bucco is deeply committed to building a school culture centered on academic excellence, student well-being, and a shared vision for continuous improvement. 

Mrs. Bucco earned her undergraduate degree from Temple University, where she majored in Spanish and Secondary Education. She went on to earn her certification in Teaching English as a Second Language and later pursued her Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Georgian Court University. Her bilingual fluency in Spanish, combined with strong communication and interpersonal skills, enables her to build meaningful connections with students, families, and staff. During her years as a teacher at Lake Riviera Middle School, she earned the titles of Governor’s Educator of the Year, District Teacher of the Year, and Ocean County Teacher of the Year. 

Beyond the school day, Mrs. Bucco enjoys spending time with her family, especially cheering on her children from the sidelines. She loves traveling to new places and meeting new people. 

Mrs. Bucco looks forward to the continued growth and success of our school community as the principal of Lake Riviera Middle School.
