Brick Police Visit LRMS

By Elizabeth Dautrich

This spring, LRMS had a visit from our very own Brick Police! They held an assembly for our school’s 7th and 8th graders to ensure kids stay safe and aware online! In this assembly, they talked about not talking to strangers online, not sending inappropriate pictures to anyone online, and not bullying people online or even in real life, because bullying doesn’t do anything productive for our world and, if anything, it just ruins people’s days. They also talked about if you see something online, say something or report it, and don’t just be a bystander, because if it was happening to you, you’d want someone to stand up for you. Lastly, just to know you’re not alone in this world, and if you ever have a bad day or someone says something about you online or in real life, some people care for you and support you. For example, our own LRMS faculty, family members, or even the Brick Police, they all care about you and want the best for you in every way possible. So, make sure you stay safe online and know that we’re all one community, and thanks to the amazing assembly pulled off by the Brick town Police department, thank you for caring for our town, and we appreciate you very much!
