In accordance with the Brick Public School’s ‘Student Technology User Agreement’ below is a list of common breakage costs and replacement options for lost or missing or damaged components outside of normal device ‘wear and tear’.

Dell USB-C Charger?
Due to the past volume of off-brand and under powered USB-C chargers returned with a district Chromebook, BTPS will only accept a Dell USB-C 65-Watt power supply. We will replace this item and also warranty the unit in the event of failure.

Chromebook Part
Let’s face it, accidents happen. In the event a Chromebook is lost, a screen is broken, keyboard keys go missing, or the lid loses a battle to permanent markers / paint our department is able to repair these units. Below is a list of costs associated with the most common breakage scenarios.
Damaged / Cracked Screen
Screen Replacement: $50
Damaged Keyboard / Keys removed
Keyboard Replacement: $40
Damaged broken /missing hinges
Palm rest Replacement: $25

Chromebook
In the event a Chromebook is lost, broken, damaged, or defaced beyond repair, there will be one of two fees depending on the model you child is issued.
Option 1: Dell Chromebook 3100
The primary device in Grades 5 – 12
Dell 3100 Chromebook: $200.00
Option 2: Dell Chromebook 3110 / 3120
The primary device in Grades 2 – 4
Dell 3100 Chromebook: $275.00
